Pest name: Red Spider Mites

Red Spider Mites

Very small red dots on the underside of the leaves. Sometimes webbing is visible. Leaves get yellowish spots were feeding took place.

Spray with miticides (not insecticides) twice a week until pest is controlled.

Spider mites are not insects but are more closely related to spiders. Spider mites have four pairs of legs (insects have 3 pairs), no antennae and a single, oval body region. Most spider mites have the ability to produce a fine silk webbing.
